This procedure is a robotic-assisted minimally invasive Ivor Lewis esophagectomy. After verifying the operability in laparoscopy, the procedure continues fully robotics in its abdominal and thoracic times. Robotic surgery increases movements precision and allows the operator to work in cramped spaces and perform the latero-lateral hand sewn anastomosis.
