SUMMARY
The video shows the minimally invasive robotic assisted technique of distal pancreatectomy with splenic vessels preservation. The immunological function of the spleen is fundamental and when a distal pancreatectomy is planned for benign pancreatic disease an attempt to preserve the spleen should be always considered.
