SUMMARY
The authors present a case of a 47-year-old patient diagnosed with a large hydatid cyst located in the second and third segment near the anterior (diaphragmatic) side. The diagnosis was made with CT scan. A left robotic lobectomy was performed using the Da Vinci System. The short hospital stay and good outcomes make this approach safe and efficient, with a wide application. Surgeons are more interested in left hepatic lobe diseases because of the anatomy which makes the approach of the biliary and blood vessels easier.
