The procedure can be divided in to 3 major steps. The hilum dissection, the hepatocaval plane dissection and the liver transection. The specimen is retrieved trough a Pfannenstiel incision. Robotic liver resection presents several advantages including, fewer blood loss, faster recovery and better cosmesis.
