Anterior rectal resection with single docking

Anterior rectal resection with single docking

J. Mégevand, A. Rusconi, M. Amboldi

present the case of a woman with rectal cancer with massive adhesions to the pelvic wall, treated with robotic rectal resection with single docking. The accurate placement of trocars allows us to perform all steps of left hemicolectomy and anterior resection rectal (mobilization of the splenic flexure, ligation and division of IMV and IMA, TME and anastomosis) without the need to use a hybrid technique or perform a double-docking. In this video we can also appreciate the utility of robot in the dissection of bulky masses from delicate structures such as the ureter.
