Associate Professor of Surgery, Division of General  Surgery, Department of Surgery at Mayo Clinic Florida

He received his medical degree at the University del Salvador, Argentina. HE then completed his residency in general Surgery at the University of Buenos Aires. Later he completed a second residency in general surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

He also completed a fellowship at the same institution on minimally invasive, bariatric and Robotic Surgery. He had an early involvement in robotic surgery being one of the first fellows trained with this technology.

He had published numerous publications as well book chapters in the field of robotic surgery Throughout his career Dr. Elli has manifested special interest in minimally invasive bariatric surgery, foregut and re operative bariatric surgery
