Andrea Coratti, M.D.

Director of General and Minimally Invasive Surgery Division, Misericordia Hospital of Grosseto (Italy).

He received his M.D. degree from University of Siena (Tuscany, Italy). After his Residency in General Surgery at the same University, he worked as Assistant Surgeon in the General and Minimally Invasive Surgery Division directed by Prof. P.C. Giulianotti in Grosseto (Tuscany, Italy). In this period (2001-2007) he completed your surgical training, acquiring a progressive experience in major abdominal, thoracic, and minimally invasive surgery.

In this team, he was an active protagonist of robotic surgery from its beginning and he participated at the development and standardization of new robotic procedures. His surgical training include also two fellowship in Vascular Surgery (University of Granada, Spain) and Laparoscopic Surgery (ILS of Bordeaux, France). From November 2007, he’s Director of the General and Minimally Invasive Surgery Division at the Misericordia Hospital of Grosseto.

He’s also the Coordinator of the Special School ACOI of Robotic Surgery, directed by Prof. Giulianotti. His scientific activity includes over forty medical publications and many invitations to speak at medical congresses.
