June 17, 2009
Pier C. Giulianotti (Chicago – USA)
SUMMARY
The video presents the technique of one of the most important steps during a minimally invasive major hepatectomy: the control of the hepatic hylum. daVinci allows a safe and effective dissection of the hepatic hilum. The hepatic artery and portal vein transection can be performed safely using stapler, sutures, ligature. Liver lobes can be resected without pringle maneuver.
